Chartwell Suite
The Chartwell suite measures 17.3 x 14 x 3.6 meters (242.2 m²). Named after Sir Winston Churchill's famous private home in Kent, the Chartwell Suite is the largest of the hotel's function rooms and can accommodate up to 350 guests, 240 for a seated dinner, 180 for a smaller dinner with a private dance floor or 350 people for a cocktail party. For conferences, The Chartwell Suite can hold up to 250 people theatre style, 160 classroom style and up to 120 cabaret style.
Situated on the ground floor, The Chartwell Suite has recently undergone a soft refurbishment to enhance the room. This venue now provides a contemporary and elegant feel, featuring grey satin panelled walls which are accented by large, open bevelled mirrors. Graceful chandeliers offer a range of lighting to create a wealth of different atmospheres, from a romantic setting for social events, to an inspirational learning environment for corporate meetings. The new chocolate and pale grey carpet emphasises the grand structure of the room, and a marble recess holding a Romanesque style stone urn, offers a focussed feature to this stylish space.
The Chartwell Suite can be partitioned into two self-contained meeting or dining areas, providing considerable flexibility. Depending on your requirements, the room can be designed for the grandeur of an international seminar or major banquet, or for the intimacy of a private luncheon or smaller-scale meeting.
Library
The Library measures 9 x 6.9 x 3.4 meters (62.1m²) and is ideally suited to smaller events, where the striking architecture enhances the sense of occasion. The room can be used as a reception room prior to an event in the Chartwell Suite, alternatively the room can be used alone accommodating up to 48 guests for an intimate dinner or up to 60 guests for a cocktail reception. For conferences, The Library can hold up to 65 people theatre style, 40 class room style and up to 30 cabaret style.
The Library provides a highly distinctive venue with a tall, domed ceiling and fine architectural details. Book-shelves are lined with antique literary texts and adjacent walls feature black-and-white photographic portraits of renowned authors. Earthy tones and an open fireplace add a contemporary atmosphere.
Cabinet Suites
The Cabinet Suites I, II and III, the names of which evoke memories of Sir Winston Churchill's many years as a government minister, are a group of three medium-sized, interconnecting rooms also on the ground floor. They measure 22.2 x 4.9 x 2.3 meters (108.8m²) and featuring grey metallic wall covering, striking black-and-white woodland photographs and overhead pendant lighting; providing a space that is both adaptable and elegant. The rooms can be used in any combination, either individually, in pairs or with all three opened into a larger space for up to 180 guests. Cabinet III benefits from natural daylight.
Flexibility is the key to the Cabinet Suites, where both business and social events can take place within different yet complementary and self-contained areas. Each of the rooms will seat up to 22 guests boardroom-style or up to 50 for a reception. With adjacent cloakrooms and the nearby Business Centre, the Cabinet Suites provide a complete self-contained function space.
Boardrooms I and II
The two newly refurbished Boardrooms offer a sophisticated blend of ultra-modern design and technology with the ambience of a traditional boardroom. The furnishings include a large boardroom table with pop-up sockets, overhead pendant lighting, iconic prints of London, high-backed leather swing chairs and an inbuilt plasma screen, comfort with high style is the mood. The Boardrooms are located on the ground floor of the hotel, adjacent to the Business Centre and close to all the major business and leisure facilities.
Both rooms benefit from tea and coffee making facilities and are ideal for meetings for up to 10 delegates.
Marlborough
Located on the second floor, The Marlborough measures 11.7 x 5.6 x 2.4 meters (65.5m²) and has been designed for use both individually and in conjunction with the Blenheim as a meeting or lunch venue. Featuring natural daylight and situated in a quiet position this room will seat up to 80guests theatre-style, up to 24 guest for cabaret-style meetings and 48 for a banquet dinner.
Blenheim
The Blenheim measures 7.7 x 7.4 x 2.4 meters (57m²) also features natural daylight and will seat up to 60 guests theatre-style, up to 40 guests classroom style and 18 boardroom style. The Blenheim and Marlborough suites are separated by a self contained corridor making the rooms ideal for use together for meeting break outs or for a change of scene for lunch or dinner.
Spencer
The Spencer measures 6.5 x 7.2 x 2.3 meters (46.8m²). Equipped with remote-controlled lighting and an electronically controlled screen, this stunning room also features natural daylight. The room can accommodate up to 48 guests for a banquet and 22 guests for a boardroom-style meeting.
Randolph
The Randolph measures 6.5 x 7.5 x 2.3 meters (48.7m²) and is similar in style to The Blenheim and Spencer Suites. This room is ideal for smaller meetings or for use in conjunction with any of the above as a break out room.
