Regent Street 1.1km/ 0.7 miles
Forming a neat line between elegant Mayfair to the West and trendy Soho to the East, Regent Street provides approximately three quarters of a mile of unrivalled shopping. The street’s most famous resident is Liberty’s; its mock Tudor façade being almost as recognisable as the array of designer labels housed inside. For adults and children alike another firm favourite is Hamley’s, the huge toy emporium, stocked floor to ceiling with the latest and greatest toys and children’s gadgets. Other Regent Street favourites include Banana Republic, Mamas and Papas and Apple’s flagship store.
Carnaby Street 1.5km /0.9 miles
Made famous in the 60s for its distinctly cool and trendy atmosphere, Carnaby Street is the perfect alternative to the hustle and bustle of busy Oxford Street. Tucked away behind Oxford Circus is a hidden shopping oasis packed with independent stores perfect for that unique purchase from street-wear to vintage home wares and everything in between.
Sloane Street 2.1km/ 1.3 miles
This elegant tree lined street runs from Knightsbridge to Sloane Square and has much in common with Bond Street. Home to designer fashion emporium, Harvey Nichols, and many flagship branches of the world’s most famous brands in fashion such as Chanel, Gucci, Prada and Christian Dior.
The King’s Road 4.5km/ 2.8 miles
Taking its name from King Charles II’s private thoroughfare between Whitehall and Hampton Court Palace, this area was made famous in the swinging sixties and punk fuelled seventies. Vivienne Westwood still runs her first ever store at the ‘Worlds End’ end of the King’s Road and the street is still one of the most varied places to shop in London.
